William's Iron Heart Journey

The Murtagh Family

William, age 8 | Medulloblastoma (brain and spine cancer)

How we helped: Indy Fuel Hockey Game Tickets

William Murtagh, an 8U Junior Fuel player, was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (brain and spine cancer) nearly a year ago, just two days after he said goodbye to his dog Jack.

What followed was William's heroic journey of brain surgery, radiation therapy at St. Jude, and six months of chemotherapy. He recently rang the bell before Thanksgiving, completing his treatment, and just recently returned to the ice with his 8U team.

William has bravely battled with incredible resilience, optimism, and faith and has earned his nickname "Iron Heart."

AL-Care is proud to support the Murtagh family by providing tickets to an Indy Fuel Hockey game, celebrating William's triumphant return to the sport he loves.
